LFM Holiday Markets

New this year, the Linton Farmers’ Market will be hosting two Fall Holiday Markets on October 28th (the weekend before Halloween) and November 18th (the weekend before Thanksgiving) from 9 am to 2 pm. Both markets will be located in the City Park in the Roy Clark Community Building. You will still find many of our regular season vendors at these markets offering fresh local foods, but you will also find a variety of arts and craft vendors that we normally don’t have during our regular season. So be sure to mark your calendars and plan on visiting the Linton Farmers’ Market this fall!

Welcome to the fifth annual Linton Farmers’ Market!

The Linton Farmers’ Market is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to connecting consumers with local produce and other homemade, value-added products. Everything sold at the Market is produced by the vendor.

LFM on Earth Eats

The Linton Farmers’ Market recently had the great pleasure and honor of being visited by Annie Corrigan of WFIU’s Earth Eats radio program, which features stories about local foods and green living. Annie heard about our thriving little market in Linton and wanted to come out herself and do a story on us, which was aired on August 12. Below is an edited version of that broadcast which only includes the portion of the episode that pertains to the Linton Farmers’ Market. This broadcast paints a wonderful picture of the LFM and the Linton community as a whole. Enjoy!

Market Dates, Time, and Location

The Market is located in the southeast corner of Humphreys City Park. It will operate Saturdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, from May 20th through September 30th.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Linton Farmers’ Market is:

• To offer residents of the Linton area a variety of fresh, healthy, local foods and homestead products,
• To promote small, local farmers and producers by providing a friendly community gathering place to sell their goods directly to the consumer, and
• To promote a sense of community and support the local economy.

The Linton Farmers’ Market endeavors to inspire, educate and encourage all Linton residents to choose healthy, locally-produced foods, to participate in the community building aspects of the market, and to help support a local, sustainable food system.

Our vendors offer a wide variety of local fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy, and other farm related products. Vendor space at this year’s Market is very limited and previous Vendors will be given preference. A Vendor waiting list will be maintained for those Vendors not qualifying for this year’s Market. If you are interested in participating in our Market as a vendor, please check our Vendor Page for more information.
